Josh finished his rookie year in the top ten (points) at LA Raceway and was awarded a trophy
at the banquet. He finished 9th of 28 racers.
9/10/2004 - Josh finished 4th of 8 in the heat race and 10th of 17
in the feature.
9/4/2004 - Josh ran a special race at Wheatland Speedway finishing 2nd of 8 in the heat and 10th of
16 in the feature.
9/3/2004 - Josh ran 5th of 8 in the heat, and 9th of 16 in the feature.
8/27/2004 - Josh
ran an awesome heat race finishing 2nd of 8. He was running 4th of 16 in the feature with 6 laps to go when his car overheated,
forcing him to pull out of the race.
8/20/2004 - Josh finished 4th of 8 in his heat race. Josh was running in the
middle of the Pack of 15 cars when he pulled in due to car feeling like it was running with a flat.
8/6/2004 - Josh
finished 6th of 8 in his heat race. He was running 8th of 15 in the Feature when he was tagged by another car on the front
stretch. Josh recovered from the tag, but spun out (his 1st spin out) between turns 3 and 4. The car was running about 240
degrees, so Josh pulled out of the race.
7/30/2004 - Josh finished 5th of 7 in his heat race and 9th of 15 in the Feature.
7/23/2004
- Josh hit the track with a new motor and a sponsor "Campbell Crankshaft." Josh ran his best race ever finishing 2nd of 6
in his heat race and 6th of 15 in his Feature.
7/9/2004 - Josh finished 8th of 8 in his heat race and 11th of 14 in
his Feature. During the routine maintenance on July 14th, Darrell (the crew chief) discovered metal chips in the oil filter
indicating that the motor would blow if raced again. A new motor is being built, but will not be ready in time for the July
16th race.
6/25/2004 - After missing 2 weeks due to rain, Josh was back on the track. Unfortunately, he had to pull
in on his heat and feature due to a power steering failure. He started last in the feature of 18 cars and progressed to 9th
position before the power steering failure forced him to drop out of the race. His official finish was 13th.
06/04/2004
- Josh finished 5th of 7 in his heat race and 10th of 21 in the Feature. He drove an awesome race.
05/28/2004 - Josh
finished 7th of 7 in his heat race and 9th of 14 in the Feature.
05/21/2004 - Josh finished 4th of 7 in his heat race
and 11th of 14 in the Feature.
05/16/2004 - Josh ran well all night in the dust bowl. He finished 4th of 8 in his heat
race, and 13th of 17 in the Feature.
5/07/2004 - This marks the date that Josh raced in his first race ever. Josh
finished 7th out of 8 cars in his qualifying heat race. He had a terrific save when he and another car got tangled in turns
3 and 4. Josh skillfully pulled out of it, while the other car spun out.
For his Feature race, he started 7th row
outside (14th out of 17 cars). Josh finished in the 10th position...a very successful 1st race.
